Kainga Ora - Programme Manager, Customer Programme, Mike is currently engaged to lead the Customer Programme, which is responsible for leading a significant programme of work to improve the range and quality of services that Kainga Ora provides to its public housing customers: the approximately 185,000 New Zealanders who live in its homes.
Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, Organisational Change Management Consultant, Sept 2017 – Dec 2019. Mike was engaged as the change manager/lead across a variety of major transformation projects within the Corporate Governance and Information (CGI) and Finance and Performance groups at MBIE. He also concurrently stepped into leadership roles to set up and embed change in newly created teams. These assignments included;
Public Trust Office of NZ Project and Stakeholder Management Mike successfully negotiated and gained stakeholder approval for a new two-year Services Agreement with Ministry of Justice on much improved terms for Public Trust, while managing and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Ministry through implementation of the new terms and policies.
Head of Customer Services, Mike received Outstanding Performer recognition for maintaining high staff engagement while leading a centralised, nine team Business Unit of 90 people through a radical, firm-wide reorganisation.
Mike has an MBA (with Distinction) from Victoria University and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Warwick. He is also a qualified Prince2 Practitioner and attended the advanced leadership programme at Auckland University.
