Overview

Anna has extensive experience working in advisory and project management roles across the public sector and with internal and interagency initiatives. She is quickly able to take in large amounts of information and pull together schedules, documents and briefings to a high quality. She thrives working in high pressure and ambiguous environments.

During her 10 years’ experience in the public sector, Anna has gained an excellent reputation for her ability to quickly build a good rapport and productive relationships, both for herself and between those around her. She is an expert facilitator, helping groups work together to achieve their desired outcomes.

Anna is formally trained in several project management methodologies and is known for being able to take complex methods and make them easy for people to understand and work with.

Recent Experience

Electoral Commission - GE 2020 Programme

Anna was engaged to work with ‘non-project manager’ Project Leads to meet Programme workstream pm requirements and help drive progress on a day-to-day basis in each project, remove any roadblocks and maintain project information and communication to ensure that the projects successfully deliver to meet expectations, under the general direction of GE2020 programme manager – People.

Ministry for Culture and Heritage - Programme Office for the Strong Public Media Programme. 

Tregaskis Brown have a team standing up the Programme Office for the Strong Public Media broadcasting programme and Anna was engaged as the interim Programme Coordinator. Some of her responsibilities included;

  • Developing the high-level programme plan and detailed schedule, and workstream breakdown packages, including resourcing requirements
  • Maintaining and reporting on programme controls including risk, issue and budget management
  • Monitoring and reporting on programme progress and providing secretariat support for governance
  • Providing core administrative services and support.

Most recently Anna’s work with the Ministry for Culture and Heritage’s team pivoted rapidly in response to the COVID-19 crisis. This has involved fast-track planning and problem solving to coordinate and assist the pulling together of sector support packages from policy development through to implementation.

Ministry of Justice - Principal Advisor, Office of the Dep Sec Corporate and Digital Services

Anna was engaged to deliver Budget20 budget bids for cost pressures and new initiatives. She worked with the leadership team to find options to manage down an existing cost pressure and plan the work required to implement the solutions.

Anna also led the development of a shared vision for the new business unit and assisted team members with various projects, reporting, presentations and briefings.

Ministry for Primary Industries - Senior Advisor, Regional Economic Development

This role saw Anna champion economic development for the primary industries in the region of Te Tai Tokerau (Northland). Anna travelled to Northland twice a month to work with the region’s local inter-agency team, and to manage relationships with fund applicants from various organisations, iwi, councils, and community groups. She became adept at delivering the complex, multi-layered solutions required to create sustainable, meaningful change across the economic and social development spectrum.
