Overview

Anna has extensive experience working in project, and change management roles across the public sector. She can absorb large amounts of information quickly to pull together concise, effective plans, working documents and briefings. She thrives working in high pressure and ambiguous environments.

Anna has more than 15 years' experience working and consulting in the public sector. She has worked hard to establish an excellent reputation, and has an innate ability to build and foster a strong rapport and productive, trusting relationships with people at all levels. Anna is an expert facilitator, helping groups work through complex issues together to achieve their desired outcomes.

Anna is formally trained in portfolio, programme and project management methodologies and is an experienced trainer. She is known for her ability to take complex methods and make them easy for people to understand and work with, and for her skill in offering pragmatic advice and solutions.

 

Recent Experience

Manatū Aorere | Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) – Pacific and Development Group 

Anna has completed several assignments with MFAT: 

  • Assisted the Climate Change and Environment team through a significant scale-up, to ensure both the structure of the team and their operating model were fit for purpose for the change and helped to bring about an elevated level of delivery confidence for the change.
  • Helped a newly created Climate Portfolio Management team to form and create new portfolio reporting products. She also worked with the team to establish a new Portfolio Steering Group to establish robust portfolio governance.
  • Conducted reviews of governance and delivery systems with advice for iterative improvement options. 

Te Awa Kairangi | Hutt City Council – Go Digital Programme: change management for Hutt City Council’s transformative Go Digital Programme in 2021 including the implementation of a new information management system across the whole of council. 

Te Kaitiaki Take Kōwhiri | Electoral Commission - GE 2020 Programme: led multiple teams as project manager to deliver the Commissions COVID-19 Health and Safety response for the 2020 General Election. 

Manatū Tonga | Ministry for Culture and Heritage - Programme Office for the Strong Public Media Programme: interim programme coordinator for the establishment of the Strong Public Media Programme. 

Te Tāhu o te Ture | Ministry of Justice - Office of the Dep Sec Corporate and Digital Services: delivered Budget20 budget bids for cost pressures and new initiatives.

Manatū Ahu Matua | Ministry for Primary Industries - Regional Economic Development: various roles, including championing economic development in the primary industries for Te Tai Tokerau (Northland).
